Introduction
 
Move Up English is designed to help low-intermediate EFL students in Taiwan expand their reading through such skills as scanning and skimming, ensuring that the students receive essential practice in oril communication.
 
This book contains topic-based units with engaging and authentic readings from areas such as sports, food, technological development, and art.
 
Supporting a more integrated approach, we also add a speaking component to each reading lesson.
 
This integration adds variety and creates interactive possibilities by focusing on both receptive and productive skills.
 
In addition, the interesting reading topics lend themselves well to speaking practice.
 
This facilitates students' learning of English by providing them with useful topics to discuss and oppotunities to use language forms in various social settings.
