1982 年に開校した国立芸術学院は2001 年に国立台北芸術大学と名をあらため、五年制の芸術教育専門機関から、徐々に七年一貫の舞踏教育、四年制の大学教育、修士課程と博士課程を持つ大学院までへと規模を広げ、いくつかの研究センターや教育展示・発表施設を併設しています。教育、展示・発表、研究を統合するとともに、社会参加や国際交流を大事にし、多大な影響力を持つ芸術教育の権威となっています。
北芸大の開校時期は、ちょうど台湾において芸術文化をめぐる思想、政策、社会環境が大きく変わる重要な時でもありました。ゆえに、台湾の現代芸術と文化の発展において常に重要な役割を担っています。教師と学生がこれまで積み重ねてきた豊かな芸術の創作の実力と研究成果は、ちょうど一滴の水が集まって河を成す姿そのものです。北芸大の校史、その一歩ずつたどった歩みは、すべて芸術を切り拓き実践する道のりであり、台湾の芸術文化人類学の一ページであり、すべての北芸大の教師と生徒の姿をその中にみることができます。
校史室は、開校以来のさまざまな歩みの軌跡や、北芸大の人々の記憶と思いを保存するものであり、学校の記録をめぐる新たなメカニズム、そして対外的にこれを発信するプラットフォームでもあります。
Founded in 1982, the National Institute of the Arts changed its name to Taipei National University of the Arts in 2001.
Accompanying the name change was a gradual expansion of the institution from a five-year-degree school of higher learning for the arts into a university that now provides seven-year professional dance training, four-year undergraduate education and an array of graduate and doctoral programs.
Several research centers and educational and performance facilities have been established since to support the university’s goal in developing diverse and integrated professionalism in higher education, artistic practice and academic research. Additionally, the University has been committed to social engagement and international exchange. It now represents one of the most influential educational organizations of the arts.
TNUA was founded in the time when Taiwan saw historic development in ideas, public policies and the overall social environment in regards to art and culture. Ever since, the university has been a crucial mover in the shaping of contemporary Taiwanese art and culture.
The artistic and academic achievements of each faculty member and student have come to contribute to the collective excellence and professionalism of the university over the years. Gallery of TNUA History represents a journey of pioneering thoughts and art practices and an important chapter of the anthropology of art and culture of Taiwan, in which all students, faculty and alumni of the school take parts.
Gallery of TNUA History is dedicated to the preservation of the history of the University and the memories of everyone who has been part of the big family.
It also serves as a helpful instrument for the writing of the history of TNUA and an alternative platform for communications and knowledge sharing.
