This series is carefully designed for local English learners who aim to reach a TOEIC score level ranging from 225 to 550. Recognizing the challenges today’s EFL learners face, the course includes enhanced EFL coverage of workplace issues, while also emphasizing language-skill building to promote the development of professional communication skills in real world settings.
Each book in the series can be used independently of the others. We start with a unit on renting office space. From there, we move on to things you need to know about setting up a business, from applying for a business loan to writing a business plan. In addition, we introduce situations and issues of in-service training and employee benefits. This book also offers learners a glimpse of restaurant industry by mentioning how to create a takeout menu and how to deal with food order delays. Finally, we try to familiarize learners with common travel scenarios such as sightseeing at famous tourist attractions.
Conversations in each unit focus on the rhythm and intonation of natural language followed by a pronunciation practice to promote oral fluency. Both listening and speaking activities connect the classroom to real life through real world situations. Furthermore, all of the practice elements emulate a TOEIC-style presentation.
All in all, the NEW Workplace English Listening and Speaking series will provide you with the tools you need to feel confident communicating in English.
